Cookie Policy
Last updated 30 July 2026
Draft for review by qualified Indian legal counsel.
This policy explains the very limited use of cookies on NangalDewat.com (the "Platform").
1. One essential cookie only
The Platform sets a single essential cookie: a session cookie used to keep signed-in users signed in to the private areas of the Platform.
- The cookie contains only an opaque random token — no name, email, or other personal data.
- It is HttpOnly (not readable by scripts), marked Secure in production, and restricted with the SameSite attribute.
- It expires after a limited session lifetime and can be revoked server-side.
Visitors who only read public pages and never sign in can use the Platform without this cookie being relevant to them.
2. No advertising or tracking cookies
- The Platform sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies.
- No third-party trackers are present on the Platform's private pages, and the Platform does not embed third-party advertising or behavioural analytics on any page.
3. Why no consent banner is shown
Because the only cookie used is strictly necessary for the operation of the sign-in function, and no optional or third-party cookies are set, a consent banner for optional cookies is not currently required. This position is a template conclusion to be confirmed by counsel against applicable law.
4. Managing cookies
Browsers allow cookies to be blocked or deleted. Blocking the session cookie will prevent signing in to private areas but does not affect reading public pages.
5. Changes
If the Platform's use of cookies ever changes, this policy will be updated first, and any newly required consents will be obtained before new cookies are set.
