Corrections and clarifications

nangaldewat.com aims to publish accurate information, and it treats corrections seriously. Anyone — a resident, a person mentioned in an article or meeting record, an organisation, or any reader — may request a correction or clarification.

How to request a correction

  1. Open the contact form and choose the request type Correction (or Meeting-record correction for a meeting record).
  2. Identify the page or record concerned, quote the statement you believe is wrong, and describe what you believe is accurate — with supporting material where possible.
  3. Submit the form. You will immediately receive a reference number.

How requests are handled

  • Every correction request is recorded with a reference number and tracked to a recorded outcome — accepted or declined, with reasons kept on file.
  • Accepted corrections are published as visible amendments or appended notes. Corrections never silently overwrite published records: prior versions are preserved, and meeting-record corrections are appended alongside the original record.
  • Where a statement is disputed but not established to be wrong, a clarification or a note recording the dispute may be appended instead.

The full policy

The complete process — including provenance labelling, removal requests, and disputed statements — is set out in the Editorial and Corrections Policy. Requesting or obtaining a correction creates no editorial control over the platform and no rights in it.
